Start with what matters to you.
Tell us what currently frustrates you, what already works well and what you’d like to keep. For a focused review, we only need details relevant to the systems we’re looking at.
- Fewer apps and simpler controls.
- Better understanding of energy use.
- Coordinated solar, battery and EV charging.
- More comfortable heating or useful everyday routines.
- A practical plan for a renovation or extension.
What equipment do you have?
Please provide manufacturers and model numbers where possible. A photo of an accessible label is often enough. Mention any installer who currently manages the system.
| System | Helpful details |
|---|---|
| Solar | Inverter manufacturer and model; approximate panel capacity; monitoring app; optimisers or separate monitoring equipment. |
| Battery storage | Battery and inverter models, storage capacity if known, and the app used to control them. |
| Heating & hot water | Heat pump or boiler model, controller, thermostats, heating zones and underfloor-heating controls. |
| EV charging | Charger manufacturer and model, vehicle model and charging app. |
| Lighting & blinds | Brands, hubs or bridges, switches and any existing smart relays. |
| Cameras & security | Camera, doorbell, recorder and alarm models, plus the apps used. |
| Internet & Wi-Fi | Internet provider, router, mesh units or access points, and areas with unreliable coverage. |
| Smart-home platforms | Home Assistant, Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings or other existing hubs. |
| Other systems | Air conditioning, ventilation, gates, irrigation, leak sensors or anything else you would like us to consider. |
For energy and heating reviews
- Electricity tariff name, unit rates and cheaper periods.
- Export rate, if you receive payments for exported electricity.
- Recent usage, ideally including a year of history.
- Available generation, battery, heating and temperature data.
- Current charging, heating and hot-water schedules.
- Comfort problems or unusual patterns you have noticed.
Screenshots and exports are useful. Missing data will not prevent an initial review, but may limit the confidence of any estimates.
For renovations
Share available plans, your project timetable, when wiring and wall finishes are due, and decisions already made. Details of your project team can be discussed during the review.
Useful photos and documents
Equipment labels, control screens, installation diagrams, manuals and commissioning records can help. Only photograph equipment you can safely access. Do not remove covers or open electrical equipment.
Please don’t upload passwords.
Never include Wi-Fi keys, account passwords, alarm codes, recovery codes or access tokens. Redact payment details and unrelated personal information from bills and screenshots. We’ll agree any access arrangements with you separately.
On the day
Have your usual control apps available and arrange access to the relevant equipment. It helps if someone who uses the systems day to day can join us. We discuss proposed setting changes with you before making them.
